This film is about Oskar - A young prosperous piano player living in Oslo in 1947. Any dreams he would have had are shattered by the tuberculosis . Durin his stay at the sanatorium, he meets the spirited eight-year old Arinn. And after becoming friend with Arinn he soon realises that he will have to reconcile with what life have to offer instead of mourning over lost opportunities
